A Brief History Lesson for Michelle Obama
Listen Michelle. I like your husband, I’m glad he’s on our side. I like you. You’ve proven yourself a witty speaker, and now that Kucinich has dropped out of the race you’ve easily inherited the title of “Hottest Potential First Lady.” So it breaks my heart to hear you say things like this:
Jan. 25, 2008 | CHARLESTON, S.C. — “We knew getting into this race that Barack would be competing with Senator Clinton and President Clinton at the same time,” Michelle Obama wrote in a fundraising appeal e-mailed to small donors Thursday afternoon. “We expected that Bill Clinton would tout his record from the nineties and talk about Hillary’s role in his past success … What we didn’t expect, at least not from our fellow Democrats, are the win-at-all-costs tactics we’ve seen recently.”
With all due respect, Obama hasn’t seen 1/10th of 1% of the beginning of win-at-all-costs tactics.
Clinton hasn’t accused Obama of renouncing his citizenship in Moscow.
Clinton hasn’t questioned Obama’s sexuality
Clinton hasn’t shown ads with Obama’s and Osama Bin Laden’s
There’s no bogus list of deaths Obama is responsible for
Nobody’s called Obama’s daughter a bitch
Nobody’s making up shit about Obama dissing the Gold Star Mothers
Nobody’s making up shit about Obama defending the Black Panthers
But you know what? If Obama wins the Democratic nomination, you can bet the Republicans will do this and much much worse. Hell, they’ve already started bullshit rumors about Obama being some stealth terrorist or some shit. They will probably be aided by a complacent media, always eager to show they can take down a Democrat. So really, unclutch your pearls. Get excited when the real mud starts to fly.

Oh man, I’ve been trying, but what with a Xbox 360, a new dog, and no inspiration, I’ve had a hard time getting around to blogging.
